Coach Kill Previews Wisconsin Tilt

Paul Bunyan's Axe Returns to Campus for Border Battle

MINNEAPOLIS - The Goal Line Club, the official booster club of the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher football program, today announced that the final Coach’s Luncheon of the season featuring Head Coach Jerry Kill will take place this Friday, November 11.

From the Indoor Club Room at TCF Bank Stadium, Coach Kill will preview one of college football’s oldest rivalries and possession of Paul Bunyan’s Axe against Wisconsin.

The event will be emceed by the radio voice of Golden Gopher football, Mike Grimm. The program will also include interviews by Darrell Thompson with former Gophers Rickey Foggie, Jay Thomas and Ed Olson, Sr.

The buffet luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. The program begins at noon. Attendees are asked to enter TCF Bank Stadium through the Premium Entrance Doors (Benton County). Doors open at 11:00 a.m. The cost of a luncheon is $20 for Goal Line Club members and $25 for non-members.

The Goal Line Club plans and coordinates various events throughout the year to enable fans to connect with the program and experience the excitement of college football. This year, the Goal Line Club and the University of Minnesota introduced another exciting game-day experience, the Golden Gophers Tunnel Team. Fans have the opportunity to line the tunnel from the locker room to the stadium and cheer on the team as they take the field.

Luncheons, the Tunnel Team and game day Tailgate Parties are open to Goal Line Club members and fans. Guests are encouraged to pre-register for events at www.GoalLineClub.com.

From the Indoor Club Room at TCF Bank Stadium, Coach Kill will will provide insights into the state of the team and preview Saturday’s battle for Floyd of Rosedale against the Iowa Hawkeyes. The event will be emceed by the radio voice of Golden Gopher football, Mike Grimm. The program will also include interviews with former Gophers Tommy Watson, Sean Lumpkin and Peter Hiestand.

Goal Line Club Releases 2011 Event Calendar

Notable Home Schedule and Exciting Events Mark New Era of Minnesota Football

The Goal Line Club, the official booster club of the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher football program, released its schedule of events for the 2011 football season today.

Highlighted by one of the Big Ten conference’s most exciting home schedules, the Goal Line Club will be hosting a tailgate party before each home game beginning with the September 10, 2011, game versus New Mexico State. Goal Line Club tailgates begin three hours prior to kickoff on the east side of Williams Arena.

The Goal Line Club will also host three Friday luncheons during the season featuring Coach Kill and a number of special guests. Each emceed program will include a preview of the weekend’s opponent and insights into the state of the team. The lunches will take place in the Indoor Club Room at TCF Bank Stadium before the North Dakota State, Iowa and Wisconsin games.

This year, the Goal Line Club and the University of Minnesota are pleased to announce the introduction of another exciting game-day experience, the Golden Gophers Tunnel Team.

Tunnel Team

The Goal Line Club and the University of Minnesota are pleased to announce the introduction of another exciting game-day experience, the Golden Gophers Tunnel Team.

For every home game during the 2011 season, Golden Gopher fans will have the opportunity to line the tunnel from the locker room to the stadium and cheer on the Maroon and Gold as they take the field at TCF Bank Stadium.

Spots on the Tunnel Team are just $20 and all participants must have a valid game ticket. The Tunnel Team is limited to 200 participants per game.

With the exception of the home opener versus New Mexico State on September 10, 2011, Tunnel Team spots will only be available for purchase the week of each home game. There are no additional advance sales.

Cameras are permitted but coaches and players will not be available to pose for pictures or sign autographs during this time.
